Brunner's Gland Hamartoma – A Rare Cause of Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding

Endoscopic emostasis with adrenaline injection and argon plasma coaglation was achieved (Fig. 1B) and no bleeding recurrence as observed. Later, endoscopic biopsies were taken, but athologic examination was inconclusive. Endoscopic ultraound revealed a 1.1 cm hypoechoic lesion with regular argins and limited to the submucosa. Enbloc endoscopic esection was performed. Histological examination allowed iagnosis of Brunner’s glands hamartoma and confirmed omplete resection (Figs. 2 and 3). Endoscopy performed ve months after resection revealed that the duodenal bulb as normal and confirmed a complete resection.
